Modern Seamless Border Clearance Digital Report

At Synergy Group, I was engaged to design and typeset a report for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry (formerly Department of Agriculture & Water Resources). The intent of the report was to showcase the success of their new world-leading project trialing 3D X-ray technology that used algorithms specifically designed to detect biosecurity threats at Australian borders within airports.

Leveraging the high-tech, future focussed nature of this technology, I developed a bold, interactive, digital report design. Giving the audience a web-like experience through a simple PDF, the document used 'clickable' navigational elements such as a burger menu, as well as interactive elements such as pop-up boxes for more information. The design also used the Departments brand colour palette, as well as abstract technology and futuristic inspired visuals.

In addition to typesetting the report, I developed several infographics which described the 3D technology and overall trial journey, a suite of icons and other visual aids to assist in telling the story and to promote the benefits of the 3D X-ray technology.
